Roy Kruger

Roy Edward Kruger, 81, of Duluth, died Friday, November 6, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  He was born October 16, 1939 in Duluth to Norma Burke.  Roy married Roberta (Bobby) MariAnn Burns on September 29, 1962 in Duluth.    He was a Navy veteran.  Roy retired from the U. S. Postal Service in 1992 after 34 years of service.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Moose Lodge 1302.  Roy was very patriotic.  He enjoyed fishing and wood working.  Roy was preceded in death by his mother, grandfather Rich Ramon and twin sister Rosemary Watson.  He is survived by his wife Roberta, son Robert;  daughter Kathryn Miller in MA; two grandchildren; brothers-in-law Neal Burns and family in WA, Roger Burns and family in AZ,; sisters-in-law Anita (Jeff) Alltop in IL, Betty (Rich) Koivisto in AZ,  Susan Black and family in MA; special friends Lynn Rholf and Liz and Jeff Blix, both of Duluth.  VISITATION:  Thursday, November 12, from 10 AM to 11 AM, followed at 11 AM with the memorial service at Dougherty Funeral Home.  FACIAL MASKS ARE REQUIRED.  Burial will be at the Minnesota Veterans Cemetery, Duluth.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. second St., Duluth, 218-727-3555.
