Margie Tarnowski

Margie Wanda Tarnowski of Duluth, MN died on September 16, 2021 at the Benedictine Health Care Center in Duluth.

Margie was born August 21, 1924 to Alex and Wanda (Lukeszewski/Lucas) Tarnowski. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Alice Cook, Colorado Springs, CO; Betty Tarnowski of Edina, MN; Sr. Eustacia Tarnowski, O.S.B.

of Duluth; and her brother Frank and sister-in-law Gertrude Tarnowski of Brooklyn Park/Duluth, MN.

She is survived by nieces and nephews Greg Tarnowski, Duluth, and Susan, Ann, David, and Pat Tarnowski, Minneapolis; David and Diane Cook of Colorado Springs, CO as well as great-nieces Katie, Annelise, Chloe, Greta, Samantha, and Ali Tarnowski, and great-nephew Ben Tarnowski.

Margie worked for the Board of Education in Duluth until her retirement, was active in her churches of St. Mary Star of the Sea and St. Benedicts, golfed, knitted and crocheted, traveled with her sisters and friends, and cared for her mother and sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Dougherty Funeral Home in Duluth, MN.

A family-only internment will at held at Calgary Cemetery in Duluth.

In lieu of flowers, please offer a Mass or donate to a church or organization of your choice as a memorial.
