Jane Ethier

Jane Elizabeth Ethier (Michalski), 83, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with family by her side Thursday, December 3, 2020.  She was born in Duluth to John and Matilda (Lepak) Michalski on January 28, 1937.

She graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1955, she worked for Prudential Insurance in Minneapolis for many years prior to getting married. She prided on raising her family and then began working at Sears in 1987 and worked there for 20 plus years. She liked playing cards with her family, going to Sunday Mass, traveling, and most importantly she loved happiness and laughter around her. She was a member of St Benedict’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; and sisters, Lorraine Chmieleski, and Delphine Duevel; son-in-law, Bill Holtz.

Jane is survived by children, Yvonne (Paul) Kalin, Michelle (Marshall) Ihfe, Lloyd Ethier, Teresa Holtz; grandchildren, Emily, Anna, Olivia, Ian, Michaela, Meghan, Jacob, Christopher; brothers, David (Diane) Michalski, and Dr. Willard (Deb) Michalski; dear friend, Gloria Walkowiak; and numerous, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family would like to thank the ladies at the JC Penny’s Salon, for their attentive regard to always making momma bear look beautiful.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM, Monday, December 7, 2020, with visitation one-hour prior, in St Benedict’s Church, 1419 St Benedict St, Duluth, MN 55811.  The family understands if you stay home with the option to watch the Facebook Livestream starting at 11AM on the Dougherty Funeral Home Facebook Page.
