Gary Russell

Gary Lynn Russell, 69, of Duluth, died Thursday, April 1, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  He was born April 29, 1951 in Duluth to Lillian L. (Herlevi) and Emery P. Russell, Sr.  Gary was a U.S. Air Force veteran.  He retired from Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center.  He was preceded in death by his mother Lillian Skadsberg; his father Emery; and brothers Dennis and Dean.  Gary is survived by his brothers Paul, Mark (Kitty) and Scott (Linda); his sister Kayline (Ed) Grochowski; and many nieces and nephews.  Private family memorial services will held.                             Inurnment will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Duluth.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, 218-727-3555.
