Evelyn Hon

Evelyn Irene Hon 97, formerly of Fredenberg Township passed away on Monday March 22, 2021 at Westwood Assisted Living. She was born in Chisholm on July 26, 1923 to William and Hilma Fredrickson. Evelyn was a member of St. Michael’s, St. John’s, and attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gnesen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Paul Hon, second husband Edward Hon, and grand children Julie Bierly, and Ian Welsh.

She is survived by her children Paul (Kathy)Hon, James (Kathleen) Hon, David (Judith) Hon, Thomas (Lois) Hon, Mary Pat Skafte, Ann Marie (John) Mellin, Barbara (Arthur) Levesque, Sue Ann (Richard) Seitz, Gregory (Katherine) Hon, Steven (Laura) Hon, Edward (Alece) Hon, Sandra (Michael) Bierly, and Cynthia (Stephen) Gramm, 38 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 1 great, great grand child.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 31, 2021 from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. John’s Catholic Church, 4230 St Johns Ave, Duluth, MN 55803. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home. 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN. 218-727-3555
