William Strouts

William F. Strouts, 89, of Silver Bay, formerly of Lindstrom, MN, passed away on Friday March 13, 2020 in St. Luke’s Hospital.  He was born in Minneapolis on June 16, 1930 to William F. and Olga Strouts.  After graduating high school Bill received a bachelor’s degree in Forestry from the University of Minnesota.  Bill started in the mail room and worked his way into management with Midwest Spring.  He was a very active member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chisago Lakes, MN, a member of the Kiwanis Club, and the Chisago Lakes Sportsman’s Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Joyce.

He is survived by children Barbara (James) O’Connell, Lori (Robert) Arnett, William (Teresa) Strouts, his fur baby Sunny, grandchildren Josh, Joe, Lyle, Matt, and Lindsey, and a great-grandson Asher.

Private services will be held on Thursday March 19, 2020 in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chisago City, MN.  Burial will be in Chisago Memorial Park.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home.  600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805.  218-727-3555.
