Victoria Ann “Tori” Tanley 30, of Duluth passed away on Thursday November 27, 2025, in Essentia Health, St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born in Mankato to Darren and Sharon Tanley. Tori attended school in Mankato, MN and graduated from MCAD. She had worked as a reseller and as a video editor. Tori enjoyed reading Manga and Manwa, watching anime, laughing with friends, playing with her fur babies Callee and DdeeDdee, and time spent with Brandon Cole.
She had a passion for learning Japanese and dreamed of moving to Japan. Competitive at heart while playing short stop and catcher in high school. She loved music, her piano playing led her to pick up a violin and dance. She also kicked off the Blue Earth County Fair Derby and sang the Star Spangled Banner, acapella before the age of 16. She was involved with 4-H poultry (GEESE whenever she saw them), writing stories, a thespian in LCWM school plays, she loved her pony, Buster, and many other animals. She was a one-of-a-kind soul. She loved her film family and had many editing and acting accolades.
She was preceded in death by her brother Tylehr Abdo.
She is survived by her life partner Brandon Cole, mother Sharon Tanley, father Darren Tanley, and her sister Danielle Tanley.
There will be two services. One in Mankato MN and one in Duluth MN. People are welcome to come to both if they want to make the drive. The Celebration of Life in Tori's home town of Mankato is going to be at The Community Center, on December 13, 2025 from 1PM to 4PM 114 Pleasant St W, Garden City, MN 56034 . The service in Duluth will be at the Caddy Shack Indoor Golf & Pub, 2023 W Superior St, Duluth, MN 55806, starting at 1PM on Saturday December 20, 2025.
