Verna Sandbulte

Verna Van De Berg Sandbulte of Duluth, Minnesota died at the age of 92 on August 26, 2026. Verna was born in Sioux Center, Iowa on May 3, 1934, to Henry and Della (Kroon) Van De Berg. She is survived by her husband, Arend Sandbulte; son Greg (Cherri) Sandbulte and daughters Ruth Peterson, Kristin (Jeff) Melby, and Rachel Ostrander; 14 grandchildren and 23 great–grandchildren; and many members of her extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sons–in–law Arlan Peterson and Bruce Ostrander.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 12:00 p.m., with a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Glen Avon Presbyterian Church, 2105 Woodland Avenue, Duluth, Minnesota 55803. A light lunch will be served following the service.

If desired, memorials are preferred to the College of St. Scholastica or Glen Avon Presbyterian Church.
