Valeria K. Johnson

Valeria K. Johnson, 92, of Duluth, passed away on Thursday September 14, 2023, in Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center.  She was born in Duluth on October 1, 1930, to Zigmond and Mary Conrad.  Valeria graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital, retiring after 34 years of service.  She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and worked in the kitchen at church helping with many church lunches over the years.  Valeria was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  

Valeria was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dale Johnson, and a son Alan Johnson.

Valeria is survived by her children Claudia (Peter) Sullivan, Thomas (Tammie) Johnson, Paulette (Joe) Tarnowski, Diane (Larry) Menzel, and Ronald (Kirsten) Johnson, 14 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
