Terese Marie Perich

Terese Marie Perich (nee Casey), 91, of Duluth passed away on August 23rd at Solvay Hospice. She was born in Duluth on September 28th, 1934, to James B, Sr and Mary Jane Casey (nee Kelly), the youngest of 5 children. Terese grew up in Duluth and graduated from Duluth Cathedral. She married Daniel Perich in 1958 and together they raised their only son Shawn. Terese enjoyed fishing with Dan and Shawn, usually out fishing them both.

She was a longtime member of St Lawrence Catholic Church in her Piedmont neighborhood.

Terese worked at the old Piggly Wiggly in Piedmont, then for the City of Duluth until retiring from the City, and then working at the Grand Ave market on 40th and Grand.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister Sister Jane Casey, OSB, brother James B Casey Jr, sister Georgia Barr, brother Thomas S Casey, her husband Daniel, son Shawn and his life partner Vikki Elberling.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, assistants and volunteers at Essentia, Benedictine Living Community, and Solvay Hospice that helped Terese throughout.

Visitation will be held on Saturday September 12, 2026, from 10AM until 11AM Memorial Service in Dougherty Funeral Home. 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805. 218-727-3555. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
