Duluth

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace, always in every way.  Thessalonians 3:16

Tanner Michael Puhl, 34, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 5th, 2026. He was born to Michael Puhl and Sheila Galovich in Duluth on January 12th, 1992. Tanner graduated from Hermantown High School in 2010. After high school, he earned a welding degree and worked as an accomplished welder until 2022. He was currently working for Summit Rental Properties in the maintenance department.

Tanner was known as a “jack of all trades” and had the most organized tool belt. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage, fishing, drawing cartoon characters, making knives, cooking a mean steak, the Minnesota Vikings, and never turned down a sweet treat. More than anything, Tanner loved and enjoyed his nieces and nephew. Living with them last summer brought him so much joy. He was proud to share a birthday with his Goddaughter Sylvie. Tanner loved his family with all his heart and had a special adoration for his beloved grandmothers. He liked to show his love with little gifts and heartfelt notes. Tanner was the best dog dad to his treasured pup Baya. She never left his side, and he couldn’t have loved her more. Tanner was creative, caring, and clever. He was born with a sensitive soul and witty sense of humor. He will be forever missed and always loved.

Greeting Tanner in heaven are his brother Devin Puhl, sister Madelyn Galovich, paternal grandfather Harold Puhl, and his aunt and Godmother Angela Mahle.

He is survived by his father Michael (Melissa) Puhl, mother Sheila (Robert) Galovich, sister Chelsea (Drew) LeBlanc, nieces Sofina and Sylvie LeBlanc, nephews Otzi and soon baby boy LeBlanc, siblings Zachary and Melana Rosin, paternal grandmother Donna Puhl, maternal grandparents Barry and Christine Findley, aunts and uncles Mitchell Puhl, Julie (Tim) Thoreson, Jacqueline (George) Eisenmann, Stephanie Abernethy, Jason Mahle, Julie Lonetto, cousins Travis (Annie), Alex (Audrey), and Kellen Thoreson, Rachel (Sydney), and George (Emily), Eisenmann, Tucker, Brodie, and Cooper Abernethy, Emily and Brendan Mahle, Kyle (Rachel) and Keely Lonetto, and his cherished dog Baya.
