Suzanne Marie Voss

Suzanne Marie Voss passed away October 10, 2023 at the age of 84. She was born on May 30, 1939, to James and Marie (Halberg) Goldsworthy in Duluth, the youngest of 5 children. Sue graduated from Central High School in 1957, and married Charles Voss in 1960. They spent nearly 60 years together, living at first in California and Florida, but soon moving back to Duluth, where they raised their 3 children, Charles Jr, Lisa, and Katherine.

Sue was a fun-loving and energetic person. She loved spending time with her friends and was always able to keep them laughing. She was an accomplished artist, but also enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and gardening. Sue was always ready for any adventure! She also loved serving others and her community, as evidenced by her many hours spent volunteering over the years. She served in the Junior League of Duluth, at Saint Mary's Hospital, was deeply involved in the Pike Lake Association, helped in the Canosia Township Historical Society, and served at Duluth Congregational Church, where she and Charles were long time members. Her laughter and vibrant spirit will be greatly missed.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; her daughter, Lisa; brothers James, William, and Robert; sister Dorothy.

She is survived by her son, Charles Jr (Nayda); her daughter Katherine; sisters-in-law Beverly (Voss) Keagle; Marjory (Smith) Voss; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at New Life Lutheran Church, 4320 Haines Rd, Duluth MN.
