Stephen W. Lucia

Stephen W. Lucia passed away April 27, 2025, Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota Hospital from complications of lung disease.

Steve was born in Duluth on December 24, 1951, to Willard and Sadie (Boyce) Lucia. He was a 1970 graduate of Denfeld High School; after graduating from Duluth Business University, he worked in finance/accounting throughout his career. He married Barbara Maki May 7, 1983.

Steve enjoyed spending time with family, especially Barb and son Marc, and dog Shiloh, and brother Dave and his family. Some of his greatest life pleasures were 50+ years as drummer with Sound, Inc., and playing golf with friends and son, Marc. Steve had a strong faith in God.

Steve is survived by wife Barb and son Marc; brother David (Barb) Lucia, their daughter Kristen (Markus) and family; niece Robyn Hammer and her son Noah; band ‘brothers’ Dave, Bob, Russ, Netz, Curt, and Ray; Barb’s family. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; sister Barbara Hammer; brother-in-law Ole Hammer; band ‘brother’ Mick.

Celebration of Life to be held at Kenwood Lutheran Church, Saturday, May 3rd with visitation at 10 am, service at 11 am. Memorials preferred to Animal Allies, CHUM, Second Harvest Food Bank, Union Gospel Mission, or Salvation Army.
