Stanley Albert Rouse

Passed away on October 4, 2026 at the age of 81. Stanley was born on March 10, 1945 to Albert and Lilace (Robbins) Rouse in Platteville, WI. Stanley was a proud Marine and served during the Vietnam War. He became a firefighter first in Washington, DC and later in Duluth. He loved every aspect of being a firefighter and retired in 2004. In 1968 he married Jo Ann Barbo and they enjoyed 58 wonderful years together. Stanley enjoyed old cars and had a Model A he cherished. He was also involved in Jobs Daughters. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his wife, Jo Ann; siblings, Merlin (Karen) Rouse, Delores (Robert) Martin, Douglas, Carol Richardson, Shirley (Ernest) Thalmann, and Kathy (Dale) Peterson; and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 4430 McCulloch St., Duluth with a Visitation beginning at 10am.
