Scarlet Elaine Edwards

Scarlet Elaine Edwards was born at 10:38am on April 24th at the Essentia Health St. Mary's Birthplace. Our sweet girl was born at 25 weeks and 1 day gestation, weighing only 1lb 5oz. She passed away unexpectedly on May 6th with her family by her side at the Essentia Health St. Mary's NICU.

According to her NICU nurses and doctors, Scarlet was known as a "little spitfire." She was always moving around, pulling on tubes and cords that weren't supposed to be touched! This would result in her getting wrapped up, which she did not like, but somehow, she managed to wiggle herself free. She loved to hold her mommy and daddy's fingers and loved her tummy time.

Scarlet is being well taken care of in Heaven by her uncle, Austin Edwards. She is learning all the ropes on how to hunt, fish, and trap. She was also greeted in Heaven by numerous other family members.

Scarlet is survived by her loving parents Cole Edwards and Cheyenne Roney. A proud big brother, Henry Edwards. Grandparents Mike and RaeAnn Edwards, Jim and Michelle Currie, Leah Hyde, Dustin and Grace Roney, and a very special great grandpa Greg Belanger. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her so incredibly much.

Cole and Cheyenne would like to thank the incredible staff at the Essentia Health St. Mary's Birthplace and NICU for all the care and support they received during their stay.
