Russell Schramm

Russell A. Schramm, 81, of Duluth, passed away with family by his side Monday, January 13, 2020. Russ was born in Duluth to Albert and Olga on August 13, 1938.

Russ worked 20 plus years at Cub Foods and was a proud Veteran of the Marines.

He enjoyed spending time at the lake, hunting, fishing, coaching, watching sports, and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Evelyn, Margaret, Lois, Donald, Richard.

Russ is survived by his loving wife, Carol “Happy”; children, Todd (Tracy), Rayann, Tomas (Julie); grandchildren, Amanda, Iziah, Savannah, Noah, Drake, Josiah, and Benjamyn; siblings, Lola, Robert (Grace), Judy, and Glenn (Karen); brother-in-law, Douglas; sister-in-law, Margaret Ann, Bernice, and Betty; best friends, James (Betty) Merling;  and numerous, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family would like to thank all who visited him in the hospital, as well as the staff of the St Luke’s Hospice for their care and empathy.

Funeral service will be 11AM, Friday, January 17, 2020, with visitation one-hour prior at Christ Lutheran Church, 2415 Ensign St, Duluth, MN 55811.
