Rosemary "Rosie" Ann Leis

Rosemary (Rosie) Ann Leis, 90, of Duluth, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday July 9, 2026, at Ecumen Lakeshore Memory Care Unit. She was born in St. Paul, MN on June 9, 1936, to Sylvester and Evelyn Schueller. Rosemary had retired from Northshore Bank as a Loan Officer. She was a very active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, volunteering on several committees at church and singing in the choir. She was a member of the women’s senior golf league and had served on the board for Lester Park Women’s golf. A member of the Duluth Women’s Club. Rosemary enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, bowling, playing bridge, and she loved playing games and doing crossword puzzles.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, and a son John Leis.

Rosemary is survived by her husband Frank, sons Timothy (Marianne) Leis, Theodore Leis, and Edd (Mary) Leis, grandchildren Tyler, Zachary, Sophia, Drake, Joey, Alex, Ben and Josh, great-grandchildren Genevieve, Morgan, Isabelle, and Harper.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 13 from 5PM to 7PM in Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805, visitation will continue Tuesday July 14, 2026, from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Catholic Church. 4901 E. Superior, St. Duluth, MN 55804. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
