Roberta Cadigan

August 5, 1942 — March 7, 2020

Roberta F. Cadigan, 77, of Superior, WI. died on Saturday, March 7, 2020 in St. Luke’s Hospice from complications of pancreatic cancer. After a 13-month battle with this insidious disease, she left us peacefully as the sun rose on a lovely March morning. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Roberta was born on August 5, 1942 in Duluth, MN. to Harold and Bernadette (Kanesky) Lewis. She was raised with her sisters and brother in their family home on South Street; a home filled with love and laughter. She had her mother’s bright smile and her dad’s gentle blue eyes. She was a truly beautiful woman, with a kind heart and a quiet spirit. She drew on her Catholic faith as she raised her family. Her heart shone with love for her four daughters and their families. She found true joy in her, “little boys,” her three great grandsons.

After graduating from Central High School, she worked at St. Luke’s Hospital until she started her family. After the girls were in school, she returned to work at Manney’s Shopper, where she retired as a graphic artist. She then traveled with her dad and her daughters and devoted her days to her little boys.

Roberta was joyously reunited in heaven with her parents, her sister Claudia (David) Birkhofer, her son in law, Tony Depta and her beloved grandson, Dane Patrick Cadigan.

She will be missed by her girls, Robyn (Matthew Miner) Cadigan; Becky (Scott Vukelich) Depta; Kathy (Craig Krisak) Cadigan and Jennifer (Thomas Zimbek) Cadigan. Her grandchildren, Danielle (Brian Rink) Richardson; Jory Cadigan, Landon Cadigan and Kaitlyn Cadigan. Her great grandsons, Connor Jacob Cadigan, Harrison Lewis Rink and Oscar Lennon Rink. Her Sister, Barbara Beverly and her brother Gene (Wendy) Lewis. Many nieces and nephews including Megan Birkhofer who also loved her as mom.

She was the best Mom, Grammy, Sleepy and Great Gram to her family. We will hold her love in our hearts forever. Love never dies.
