Perry Anne Vitullo, 83, of Duluth, passed away on Saturday September 5, 2026. She was born in Duluth on April 3, 1943, to William and Barbara Schroer.
A lifelong resident of Duluth, Perry saw life in her own unique way. She was often unfiltered, but her candor and distinct perspective made her unforgettable. Fun-loving and mischievous, she told many stories but especially liked those that made her children blush. Perry loved being engaged—whether she was tackling a home-remodeling project or a crossword puzzle, caring for her dogs, or visiting with family and friends. She was close to her many grandchildren and inspired them to think for themselves and follow their own paths. She and Dick reunited in 2009, and their love and later marriage were a blessing to them both. She left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Thomas Andrew and Frank Mehle, granddaughter Moriah Smith, brother Mark Schroer, and a niece Rebecca Schroer.
She is survived by her husband Richard, children John Cory (Koneta) Andrew, Timothy Andrew (Collette), Mitzi (Brandon) Baines, and Hal (Lisa) Andrew, stepchildren Brian (Jennifer) Vitullo, Todd (Sharon) Vitullo, 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Linda Schroer, and Terry Smith, and her special friend Sarah Phoenix.
Visitation will be held on Friday Oct. 2, 2026, from 10AM until the 11AM Memorial Service in Dougherty Funeral Home. 600 E. 2nd St., Duluth, MN 55805. 218-727-3555.
