Patricia Kay Johnson, 69, of Duluth, passed away peacefully at home with her husband of 46 years by her side on May 26. Pat grew up in St Louis Park where she excelled in athletics and academics. She went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota and moved to Minnetonka. She spent her early career working at the University of Minnesota Hospitals then went on to become known for creating joy and beauty with stunning gardens, pottery and metal sculptures. In addition to Pat's creativity, she had a curious and adventurous spirit that lead her to travel to historic and remote places around the globe. She always brought joy and enthusiasm on her adventures and often returned with inspiration for her art. Most important to Pat was her love of family and close friends. She was always first in line to help when needed.
Pat is survived by husband, Andy; son, Ted (Angela Krick); daughter, Rachel; grandchildren, Berlin, Cosette, Yarrow and June; sisters, Debbie Raymond (Tim), Nancy Ferch; brother Steven Ferch; and a gaggle of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews who lovingly knew her as Oma.
The family extends a special thanks to the Oncology Infusion Team and the Hospice Team at Essentia Health.
