Olivia Jean Salo, 28 of Fargo, ND, formerly of Duluth, MN, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 31st in Fargo. Olivia was born February 19, 1992 in Duluth to David and Tracie Salo. She graduated from Hermantown High School and received a degree in University Studies from NDSU. Olivia worked as an HR Generalist at BNG Team, a business development service in Fargo, ND. She was a member of Peace in Christ Lutheran Church in Hermantown. Olivia kept herself busy with the many hobbies she enjoyed, including traveling to tropical destinations, floating and swimming in her pool, golfing with friends, sharing her love of quilting and crafting, going on family ski trips to Montana, and catching walleye on the lake she grew up on. Her radiant smile and infectious laugh touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She loved her dogs, Echo and Luna, and spending endless hours laughing with family and friends. Her exuberance for life was unmatched and her strength and courage will forever be admired by all.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Donald Salo and Albert Bauer.
Olivia is survived by her fiancée George Fraza, parents David and Tracie Salo, sister Claire (Patrick) Baskerville, grandmothers Kay Salo and Alta Bauer, in-laws George Sr. and Lisa Fraza, Elise Fraza, Dana Siemieniewski, Jill (Eusabius) Burgard, nieces and nephew Emma, Layla, Mia, and Maddon Burgard, along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Friday, February 5th from 5-7pm at Dougherty Funeral Home. Due to COVID restrictions, private family services will be held on Saturday, February 6th at 11am at Peace in Christ Lutheran Church and live-streamed from their Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred and may be directed to the Minnesota Make A Wish Foundation, 1919 University Ave. W St. Paul, MN 55104.
