"Mitzi" Delores M. Murphy

“Mitzi” Delores M. Murphy, 89 of Hermantown, Died Friday, March 22^nd at the Benedictine Health Center, Duluth.  Mitzi was born Dec. 2, 1934 in Duluth to Stephen and Hatti Bodell.  She graduated from Denfeld High School.  Mitzi Met Paul Murphy and they were married on Feb. 4, 1956.

Mitzi was a former member of St. Ralphael’s Church and St. Lawrence Church.  She enjoyed riding her bike, bowling, gardening, ceramics, penny slots,  visiting with friends, following Dean and Gregg’s sports and going out for dinner with Paul.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Hatti; siblings, Art, Bob, Fran, Jean, Helen, Sr. Stephen Bodell OSB, Steve, Don, Ray, Ruth, Anna and Joe; her husband, Paul in 2018.

Mitzi is survived by her sons, Dean and Gregg and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26^th from 5-7pm in the Dougherty Funeral Home.   Visitation will continue Wednesday from 10am to the 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 W Linden St., Duluth, MN.   Burial at Calvary Cemetery.  Sign the online register book at, www.dfhduluth.com.  Mass will be live streamed on the Dougherty Funeral Home Duluth Facebook page.  Arrangements by, Dougherty Funeral home, 600 E 2^nd St., Duluth, MN, (218) 727-3555.
