Marygrace Carmel Maria Theresa Lombardi Raymond “MG”, age 95, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away at her home on August 25, 2026.
She was born in Duluth and attended Emerson Elementary, Washington Jr and old Central High School, graduating in 1949.
She was employed in Duluth at Silvers Dress Shop, Marshall Wells Hardware, Wahls Department Store, Maurices, Western Electric, and the Duluth Public Schools. She was a member of St. Peters Italian Church and St. Johns Church of Duluth.
Simply put, MG was stunning. A blend of breath-taking beauty, and hidden strength. Strong in her faith and character, protective of her family, enduring love and respect for her parents, and always putting her own needs aside for family and friends. She faced the challenges life presented to her, and there were many, with the utmost courage and poise.
MG was a quiet warrior filled with grace. She wouldn’t burden anyone with her troubles yet was always happy to help you with yours. Enduring love for her children, her dear friends and oh so many animals. Reading and learning were her unstoppable passions. Her message to others, “Don’t change who you are based on those around you”.
MG faced her last illness no differently than her daily life – never a complaint, even when in immense pain. In her beautiful voice and continued greater concern for those around her than herself, she just continued to share, “It’s okay, I’m okay”. Faith first, sheer will, a determination not to be a victim to her circumstances, and filled with the same grace and poise that made her so beautiful, she continued displaying her resilient indomitable spirit.
Marygrace was preceded in death by her Parents, Eustachio and Helen Lombardi; brothers, Dominick, Joseph and Mike Lombardi; nephew Michael Lee; grandchild Liza Nicole Rosvold; sisters-in-law Mary Fedo and June Johnson; and former husband Ted Raymond Jr.
She is survived by her four Children, Michelle (Jon) Raymond, Ted (Joy) Raymond III, Tracy (Joe) Litman, and Stacy (Todd) Nelson; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; nephews Richard, Jeffrey, and Gregory Lombardi; 3 great nephews and their children.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd, at St. Johns Church, 4230 St Johns Ave, Duluth, MN 55803 at 10am until the mass begins at 11am with a luncheon served after.
