Mary MacDonald-Nesgoda

Mary June MacDonald–Nesgoda, 96, of Duluth, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 28, 2018.  She was born in Duluth on June 19, 1922, to Anton and Mary Wallin.  She raised five children worked as a supervisor, at Cook home, spent time with her sister pat, and enjoyed dancing, walking, gardening, in her later years; but most importantly spending time with her family.  She was preceded in death by, former husband, Jerry Michael MacDonald; daughter, Diane Conant; and son, Michael MacDonald.  June is survived by, husband, Thomas Nesgoda; children, Mary (Dick Brockman) Higbee of Duluth, Deborah (Douglas) Stephens of Kuranda QLD, Australia, Jeffrey (Cynthia) MacDonald, of Atherton, QLD, Australia; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Corbin; numerous, nieces, nephews, family and friends.  The family would like to thank the staff at Edgewood Vista Memory Care, and Essentia St. Mary’s Hospice.  Visitation will be 5-7PM, Monday, September 10, 2018, visitation will continue Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 10AM until the Funeral Service beginning at 11AM Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805, burial will be in Oneota Cemetery. In lieu of memorials, flowers are preferred.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 218-727-3555
