Mary E. Keyport of Duluth died on September 11, 2022, at Ecumen Lakeshore. Mary was born January 7, 1934, to Joseph and Mayme Fischler, in St. Paul, MN. She attended school in St. Paul at St. Bernard’s, St. Andrew’s, and St. Joseph’s Academy, graduating in 1951. She attended the University of Minnesota where she met Bob Keyport, and they were married June 1955.
Mary enjoyed being a homemaker and practicing her excellent culinary skills. After retiring early, Mary and Bob enjoyed traveling to many places around the world to complete genealogy research, and to fulfill the needs of a small home-based business. They spent most of their married life living in St Paul, MN but decided to move to Duluth in 2007 to be closer to two of their children.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and five siblings.
She is survived by, her husband, Bob Keyport; children, Karen (Robert) Valdez, Bulverde, TX, Daniel (Georgiann) Chaska, MN, Douglas, Duluth, MN, Robyn (Barry) Cutter, Cody WY, Barbara (Michael) Hardy, Sioux Falls, SD, and Jane (Peter) Aas, Duluth, MN; 16 beautiful grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Rosary will be 9:45AM, Saturday, September 17, 2022, with visitation beginning at 10AM, until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial, in St. Michaels Church, 4901 E Superior St, Duluth, MN 55804. Inurnment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Duluth.
