Mary Elizabeth Kindgren

Mary Beth Kindgren, 64, of Duluth, passed away suddenly in her home on April 28, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born in San Diego, California on June 9, 1960. Mary had lived in many places, including her hometown of Proctor, MN, Duluth, MN, California, and Washington State. Mary moved back to Duluth in 2021.

Mary had worked a few different jobs in her lifetime. We all knew her from her bartending days at Flips in Proctor and Stadium Lanes in Duluth. Up until her death she had been working for the past 11 years for Viking Cruise Line as an Air Operations/Travel Emergency Agent. Mary had traveled all over Europe, one of the perks for working at Viking.

She was funny and had a beautiful smile. Mary had a way of making a bad day a better day. She enjoyed meeting new people and talking with them, it was her customer service skills. There was Sunday funday where she would cook and feed everyone. She loved to cook and was a good cook.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Phillip “Flip” and Mary Lou Kindgren.

Mary is survived by her son Ryan (Kari) Hendrickson, granddaughter Cali Marie Hendrickson, sisters Deborah (Tim) Hickey, and Rebecca Lundberg, brothers Eric Kindgren and Christopher (Irene) Kindgren, and several nieces and nephews, and Mary Lukovsky whom was a gift from God as a friend.
