Lynda Anna "Hill" Towle

Lynda A. “Hill” Towle, 59, of Duluth, MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 with her close niece Jenny by her side. She was born in Duluth on April 30, 1966 to Eddie and Vivian Hill. Lynda graduated from Two Harbors High School, class of 1984. She continued her education to become a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at Ecumen Lakeshore as a CNA and later in housekeeping for 35 years. Lynda enjoyed being outdoors in the sunshine, going to craft shows, the companionship of animals and spending time with her daughter Autumn and other family and friends. Lynda had an infectious laugh, beautiful smile and her presence brightened many. Lynda reminded us that no matter what life brings, “it’s all good in the hood”, as this was one of her many great sayings.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Autumn, twin sister Lydia Gould, brother Bob Hill, sister Darlene Ketchum, 4 nieces and nephews, 6 great-nieces and nephews, many cousins and her close friend Kim “VanGuilder” Willemarck, and companion Todd Dougherty.

The visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 10am at Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805 with funeral service to follow at 11am with luncheon afterwards. The burial service will proceed later this day at Lakeview Cemetery in Two Harbors, MN. The family encourages all that attend to wear Lynda’s favorite color pink, in celebration of her life. Special thanks to be given to St. Croix Hospice for the care, compassion and support and for the staff at Ecumen Lakeshore that consisted of new and past friends and coworkers.
