Lorraine E. DeRoche, 90 of Duluth, died Tuesday, March 24th at Essentia St. Mary’s with her family by her side. Lorraine was born in Duluth to Esdras and Victoria Tessier. She graduated from St. Jean’s School, where she met her future husband, Bob DeRoche, in sixth grade and they were married on Feb. 18, 1950. She was an active member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary; the Adoration Chapel at St. Mary Star of the Sea; member of the French Club; volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital, assisted at Birthright St. Mary’s hospital, and served food at the Union Gospel Mission.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Esdras and Victoria; her 12 brothers and sisters and her daughter, Susan.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Bob with whom she recently celebrated 70 years of marriage; children, Bob (Kathy) DeRoche, Ginny (Mike) Randolph, Julie (Bill) Picconatto, Dianne (Patrick) Clark, Laurie (Dan) Schwab and David (Mindi) DeRoche; 22 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
