Lois M. Adelson, 86 of Duluth, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Benedictine Health Center, Duluth. ^^Lois Marlyne Gershgol was born Feb. 23, 1926 in Duluth, the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Polinsky) Gershgol. ^^She attended and graduated from Duluth Central High School. She married Charles Adelson on June 9, 1946 in Duluth. ^^She was a member of the Temple Israel Congregation. ^^Lois was very artistic, and enjoyed music. She also passed on her love of animals to her children and grandchildren. ^^She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles and granddaughter, Becky Walsh. ^^Lois is survived by her daughter Michele Walsh of Duluth; her son Mike Adelson (Steph Marshall) of Hermantown; grandchildren Matt, Aaron (Sarah), Nathan, and Sarah; her great-grandson Asher; Jack Walsh of Portage, Wis., and Linda Adelson Smith of Duluth. ^^PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICES: were held at Tifereth Israel Cemetery in Duluth.
