Linda Summer

Linda Kay Summer, 74, of Duluth, died Monday, August 23, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  She was born July 24, 1947 in Hibbing to Paul S. and Edna L. (Harvey) Summer.  Linda was a U.S. Army veteran medic.  Following the service she was employed at Chris Jensen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Duluth for30 years.  Linda was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church and the church choir.  Linda was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, and her sister Gale Croft on August 1, 2021.  She is survived by her sisters Laura (Larry) Groom of Grand Rapids and Paula (Don) Chartock of Grass Valley, CA; eight nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.  Graveside committal service with military honors will be Monday, August 30th at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery-Duluth.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, 218-727-3555.
