Klenow Jonathan Novitzki

Klenow was born in Duluth, Minnesota.  He was the only son of Harry and Lucile Novitzki and grew up in the Duluth area.  Fifty-six years ago, Klenow married the love of his life, Nancy.  They had two sons, Matt and Ryan.  He earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.  He spent his entire working career teaching in the Duluth School District (ISD 709), where he taught countless students Math and Computer skills before retiring in 2001.  Education was a priority for Klenow, which he passed on to his kids and grandchildren.  In his free time, Klenow enjoyed spending time with the grandkids, fishing, golfing, woodworking, the annual Father’s Day Twins game, and his many sip club meetings with “the Gentlemen.”  Klenow never let an opportunity to tell a ‘Dad’ joke go by…

Klenow’s kindness and caring will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.  His legacy will live on through the cherished memories he created with his family and friends, and the impact he had on their lives.

Klenow is survived by his wife Nancy (Duluth), son Matthew (Amy) Novitzki, and son Ryan (Laura) Novitzki.  Matt and his wife Amy have two children, Tori and Tyler, who brought immense joy to Klenow's life. Ryan and his wife Laura are parents to Brook, Lexi, and Kaiya, who will forever cherish the memories of their loving grandfather.
