Kathleen "Kathy" Davern

Kathleen "Kathy" age 72, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. Kathy was born on March 31, 1950 in Duluth, MN to Richard and Virginia Davern. Kathy attended Duluth schools and graduated from UMD. She was a teacher in the Park Falls, WI school district prior to moving back to Cloquet, MN. She worked as the Office Manager for the Puumala Medical Clinic, retiring at its closure. The loves of her life were her horses, Spats, Bo, and her donkey Radar, who along with her various dogs and cats, she passionately cared for.

Kathy was proceeded in death by her parents, brothers Denny (Kathy Thorsvik), Tim (Char), and Don. She is survived by her sister Linda Johnson (Mark), many loving relatives, good friends, and her cat Mittens.

Special thanks to her good friends Jay Grover, Seth Cooke, and Dustin McLeod, who were instrumental in helping to keep her farm going. Also, our thank you to the St. Luke's Hospice Staff for their exceptional care and kindness to Kathy.

Her independent and pioneering spirit, along with her generous sense of humor, were admired by all of those who loved and knew her.

Honoring Kathy's request, there will be no memorial service held.
