Karen Lee Bail

Passed away on May 28, 2025 at the age of 83. She was born in Hollandale to Benjamin and Ruth Van Reese on April 12, 1942. She retired after 23 years from the Duluth Public Schools and had quite a few job titles over the years, including Community Assistant, Library Assistant and Technical Tutor. She enjoyed learning new things. Karen loved her family, children and animals. She had many friends over the years and a few special ones that lasted most of her life. She also loved to read and play mahjongg. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Connie Carl, Judy Lawlor, Cindy Stafne; and nephew, Joey Carl. She is survived by her husband, Laverne; children, Kerry (Zee), Terry (Deb), Michael and Brenda; grandchildren, Cierra, Ben, Torren, Adrianna, Tristan, Manora, Alaric and Alohra; great grandchildren, Naudia; Kinsley, Vivian, Lahna, Ayaabe, and Daisy; many loving nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 10am – 1pm on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at The Morgan Park Community Center, 1242 88th Ave. W., Duluth.
