Judith "Nanny" Ann Fawcett

Judith “Nanny” Ann Fawcett, 84, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Judith was born May 22, 1942, in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Russell Richard Ingersoll and Jeanette Edith (MacKay) Ingersoll. She later made her home in Duluth, where she built a life centered on family, home, and a deep affection for animals.

She was a homemaker who also worked as a teacher and in the credit union field. She completed some college and took pride in keeping a home of her own. Those who knew her remember a woman whose kindness reached beyond her own household. She loved the lord, her faith was very dear to her, it showed in the person she was and everything she did; her family was her life. She also cared about the humane society, wildlife, and animals of every kind, and she carried a genuine love for Duluth and the community around her.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Fawcett; and an infant son.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie Buol, Jennifer Luraas, and Jill (Richard) Kelly; grandchildren Surya, Katie, Drew, Christopher (Hannah), Grace, Matthew (Ashley), Dallas (David), Raechel (Chase), and Noah; 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Russell (Pat); former husband Jeff (Joan) Dow; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Funeral Service will be on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 2PM, with visitation one hour prior, in the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600, E 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805.
