Joy L. Millar

Joy L. Millar, 85, of Duluth, formally from Minneapolis, passed away peacefully with family present on Thursday May 26, 2022, at the Franciscan Health Center.  She was born in Minneapolis to George and Lorinda Millar on February 12, 1937.  Joy graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.  She loved history and was a writer and a poet.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Barb Evenson and her husband Bruce Evenson, grand-daughter Mary Michelle, great grand-daughter Haylie Gus, and spiritual sister, best friend Rose Sefton MSW.

Joy is survived by her children Sheree (Adam) Meier, Jeff Johnson, Leanne (Bruce) Petyo, Victor (Deb) Johnson, Pamela Johnson, and Jamey Johnson, grandchildren Amie, Samuel, Joshua, Chrissy, Victor, Jessi, Cortlend, Elizabeth, Tony, Elijah, Jory, and Jonha, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, many cousins, and lifelong friends.

A Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 17^th, 2022, at Bunker Hills Activity Center, 550 Bunker Lake Blvd NW, Andover, MN 55304 from 1 PM to 4 PM.  No flowers please.
