Jerome Frank Lapcinski, age 78, of Duluth died on May 12, 2025 at Essentia Northern Pines Hospital in Aurora. He was born in Duluth on April 14, 1947 to parents, Frank and Fran (Karalus) Lapcinski. Upon his graduation from Denfeld High School, he joined the Air National Guard, where he proudly served his country for 12 years. Jerry retired in 2005 after a 38 year career as a Snap-On Tool Dealer. He married Mary Jo Franckowiak on February 28, 1970. They celebrated 55 years of marriage and raised two beautiful children together. Jerry was happiest when on his Bobcat. He loved pontooning, golfing, hunting and nascar. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Phil and Dick; and Irish Twin sister, Collette Peterson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo; son, Kerry (Kelly) Lapcinski; daughter, Terri Schuman; son-in-law, David Schuman; grandchildren, Brett Lapcinski, Nate Schuman (Megan), and Sydney Schuman (Travis); siblings, Clarence, Jeanne, and Valerie (Phil); many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Visitation will be held from 4-7pm with a Rosary at 6:30 on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at St. Joseph’s - Gnesen Catholic Church, 6110 Church Rd, Duluth. The Visitation will continue at Church on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 10am to the 11am Mass of Christian Burial.
