Jennifer Abalan, age 47, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota, Jennifer graduated from Duluth East High School and went on to attend nursing school, where she discovered her lifelong calling to care for others. She later moved to Minneapolis, where she began a fulfilling career as a nurse, touching countless lives with her compassion and dedication. In 2018 Jennifer became a business owner and opened her own clinic, The Art of Injections.
Jennifer was a naturally curious and passionate person who pursued excellence in all she did. She was a 4th degree Black Sash in Wushu/Kung Fu, loved to play tennis, and found joy in sailing, snowboarding, and cooking. Her adventurous spirit and love of learning inspired everyone around her.
Above all, Jennifer had a caring heart and always put others before herself. The joy of her life was her beloved son, Isaiah, with whom she shared a deep and unbreakable bond. She also found profound love and companionship with Pawel, the love of her life.
Jennifer will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and unwavering kindness. Her memory and impact will live on in the people she touched.
She is survived by her son Isaiah; by husband Pawel and his sons, Zach (Elena and daughter Ava), Mikolaj, and Patryk; Pawel’s Father Marian; her loving parents, William and Barbara Abalan; her brother Mark and his wife Missy; her nieces Lilly and Grace, and her nephew Christian. Her dear friends Juan, Maria, Celso, and Meagan Ramiraz and their beautiful children. She will also be deeply missed by all those at the Circle of Discipline, and especially her mentor Sankara Frazier.
A celebration of life will be held on October 17, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., at The Landing Church in Duluth, Minnesota.
The family respectfully requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Jen’s memory to the Circle of Discipline or NC Little Hospice.

for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
