Jay Johnson
July 3, 1956 — January 17, 2014
Jay Robert Johnson, 57, of Duluth, died Friday, January 17, 2014 at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born in Dallas, TX July 3, 1956 to Eulis B. and Nell L. (Thrailkill) Johnson. Jay worked in security and he was a volunteer for the Fire Dept. when he lived in Texas.
In Duluth, he was a former member of Bethany Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sister Reba (Kim) Sullivan of Duluth; 3 nieces; 5 grand nephews and 3 grand nieces.
Visitation will be Friday, January 24, 2014 from 12 noon until the 1 PM funeral service at St. Eligius Health Center Chapel, 7700 Grand Ave. Burial will be at Oneota Cemetery.
Memorials directed to the American Heart Association would be appreciated. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, 727-3555.
