Janet Shultz Haynes

Janet Haynes, of Duluth passed away January 29, 2024. Born Janet Ruth Shultz on June 26, 1937.

Janet attended and graduated High School in 1955 in, Geneva N.Y., and went to S.U.N.Y. at Cortland graduating 1959 with a Bachelors in Mathematics. Her work history includes being a math teacher, working at a fabric store, and working as a realtor. Janet was passionate about volunteering around the community, at Animal Allies, the public library, and the Duluth Animal Shelter.

Janet enjoyed gardening, sewing, needlepoint, quilting, reading mysteries, sudoku, and spending time with her pets.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 50 years, Donald Kenneth Haynes, Ph.D. (2008).

She is survived by her children, Bradley Haynes, and Linda (Ray) Slowik; grandchildren, Anna, John, and Donald Slowik.
