Jacquelyn "Jackie" M Paaso

Jacquelyn “Jackie” M. Paaso, 85, of Duluth, died Monday, Dec. 4^th in her home, surrounded by her daughter Jodi and her grandson Griffan.  Jackie was born July 3, 1938, in Duluth to Henry and Jeanette Anderson.  She graduated from Duluth Central.  She met Floyd Paaso and they were married on June 25, 1960.  Jackie worked at Minnesota Power and then Jackie and Floyd ran the family grocery store, Anderson Grocery in Lakewood and then she worked at Lakewood 1^st Stop, Virgie Childrens shop and she was a teller at Northshore Bank of Commerce.  She was an active member of St. Michael’s Church and served on its Funeral Lunch Committee.  Jackie enjoyed walking, knitting, reading, puzzles, baking, skiing, snowshoeing, and most of all spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jeanette, her brother, Sanford Anderson, infant brother, Reginald and her husband Floyd.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Jodi Paaso and her sons who have been angels to Jackie, Griffan and Leighton; son, John (Maggie) Paaso, John’s children, Matthew, Dreah and Sara Hansen and Senia Paaso; sister, Jan Hilliard and brother, Rene Anderson. And several nieces and nephews. And many friends.  She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 10^th from 3-5pm in the Dougherty Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue Monday from 10am to the 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael’s Church, 4901 E Superior St. Duluth.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Sign the online register book at, www.dfhduluth.com.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral home, 600 E 2^nd St. Duluth, MN, (218) 727-3555.
