Jacob "Jake" Allan Laurion

Jacob "Jake" Allan Laurion passed away June 30th in a tragic motorcycle accident. 

Jake was born on August 22, 1979 to Dennis Laurion and Susan Pierce in East Chicago. He was raised in Duluth, MN where he has continued living and working for the City of Duluth as a utility operator. He is survived by his two precious young sons, Walker (11) and Paxton (10) along with their mother Ashley Laurion, his parents Dennis (Bonnie) Laurion and Susan Pierce, brothers Damon (Summer Ledingham) Laurion, John (Joni) Pierce, Jeff (Shauna) Pierce, Kevin (Saswati) Johnson, Keith (Elyse) Johnson, sisters Sarah (Chris) Dickson, and Margret (Bill) Harmon, sister in law Michelle Laurion along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jake's central core was his boys, he lived his life for them. He set an example, he monitored homework, he taught them how to do laundry and cook. He was teaching them to be honorable men. 

Jake's many talents included cooking, fishing, woodworking, gardening, entertaining, and tinkering. He was gifted with the talent to fix anything. He also had the genuine ability to make great friends with anyone he met, leaving behind many who cherished him. He was a well-known and beloved member of the Rice Lake community.
