Isaiah "Zeek" Schultz

Passed away unexpectedly at home on June 30, 2026 at the age of 44. He was born in Minneapolis to Dennis and Karen (Benson) Schultz. He grew up in the Lino Lakes area and moved to Duluth in 2010. He was avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and making maple syrup. Known in the smelting community as “Zeek’s Smelt”, he often was successful enough to share smelt with friends and family and occasionally make a profit on it. He was a terrific farmer and sold his crops at local farmers markets. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fritz and Bertha Schultz and Clint and Rosemary Benson; uncles, Norman Schultz, Randy Fiskum and Jimmy Benson. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Dennis and Karen; his most loyal companion, Dozer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and good friends.
