Ilse Hertel

Ilse Hertel, 89, went to be with the Lord on December 15th, 2020.

Ilse was born in Hassfurt Germany to Georg and Mathilda and resided in Duluth, MN after migrating to the US where she worked many years at St. Scholastica Monastery.

She was a devout Catholic who loved knitting, reading, crossword puzzles in German, baking tortes, long walks and was always there to lend a helping hand.

Ilse will be greatly missed by family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, sister and great nephew.  She is survived by 2 brothers, and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery in Wrenshall.
