Gretchen Wild

Gretchen Ann Wild, 81, of Duluth, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

She was born in Duluth on February 20, 1938, to Alfred and Gertrude “Jan” Wild.

She graduated from Cathedral, and then St Mary’s and was an LPN at St Mary’s for 40 years, retiring in 2001.  She was also active member in St. Benedict's Catholic Church.

She belonged to the LPN Association, and enjoyed Search a Word Puzzles, her doll collection, puppies and kittens, reading, crocheting and knitting afghans, and making sweaters for children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and twin sister, Janice Wild Snoddy.

Gretchen is survived by her brother, FR. Jon Wild, nieces, Cathy and Julie Snoddy, and brother-in-law, David Snoddy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM Tuesday, March 26, 2019, with a rosary beginning at 9:45AM until the 10AM visitation, at St Benedict's Catholic Church, 1419 St Benedict St, Duluth, MN 55811, and burial in Calvary Cemetery will follow.
