Gloria Jean Thompson

Gloria Jean Thompson, 78, of Duluth, MN, loving wife and devoted mother and grandmother passed away on March 12, 2026. Gloria was born on November 20, 1947 in Seattle, WA to Philip and Jean Richards.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Rodger Richards. Survived by her husband of 59 years, Ellis; children, Cheri (Dan) Stine, Christy (Jim) Sershon, Michael Thompson and Ben (Sandra Selby) Thompson; grandchildren, Kayla and Carter Stine, Jesse, Jordyn and Maxx Sershon, and Andy Thompson; siblings, Phyllis (David) Lindberg, Russell Richards, Susan Richards, Rodney (Tim Goulet) Richards; sister-in-law, Sue Bourgoyne; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 10am-12pm on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. Second Street, Duluth. Burial at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Saginaw at 1pm.
