Passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025 at the age of 98. She was born in Duluth to Clemens and Bertina (Bjerke) Klosky. She graduated from Central High School in 1945 and worked as a clerk at Sears and then a cashier at St. Scholastica. She married Richard Wagner and had three sons. After his death in 1981, she married Gunder Schwanz. Evelyn was a longtime member of Kenwood Lutheran Church and was part of the church choir and the Kenwood Lutheran Quilters. She volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital, made wheelchair bags for nursing homes and loved to knit at the Yarn Harbor, specifically making infant and small children’s sweaters. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husbands and son, James. Survived by sons, Steven (Sandy) Wagner and Ron (Kris) Wagner; daughter-in-law, Linda Wagner; grandchildren, Sara (Joe), Jessica (Jim), Kristi, Pamela (Chris), Heather (Kevin), Jenna, Justin (Kelly), Jared (Amanda), Jana (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Sam, Noah, Isaac, Emma, Annalyn, Derek, Cael, Grant, Bennett, Max, Asa, Eli, Asher, Ezra, Ruby, Clara; great-great grandson, Levi. A Memorial Service will be held at 12pm on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Kenwood Lutheran Church, 2720 Myers Avenue, Duluth with a Visitation beginning at 11am. Burial at Park Hill Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Kenwood Lutheran Church or Solvay Hospice House.
