Elisha Wennberg

Elisha Eyne Wennberg, 35, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 30, 2020.  She was born in Duluth, on March 27, 1985, to David and Jeanine Wennberg (Mehrman).

She had worked at Black Bear Casino Coffee Shop and more recently at Fond Du Luth Casino as a cashier. She graduated from Duluth East High School in 2003.

She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, most importantly with her son DJ and furry friend Deuce.  She also very much enjoyed fishing and camping at Boulder Lake.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Evelyn and William Wennberg, grandfather, Gerald Mehrman; mother-in-law, Michelle Liupakka.

Elisha is survived by, her son, DJ William Defoe; Significant other, Dan Defoe; parents, David and Jeanine Wennberg; brother, Matt (Zoe) Wennberg; sister-in-laws, Jessica (Jason), and Billie Jo Defoe-Robinson; grandmother, Nancy Mehrman; father-in-law, LeRoy Defoe;  and numerous, aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Memorials can be directed to the family who will be funding a trust for Elisha’s son DJ William.
