Dianne Eileen Micheau, age 82, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at Edgewood Vista in Duluth, Minnesota, after a courageous journey with Alzheimer's disease. Born on October 10, 1943, in Seattle, Washington, Dianne spent much of her childhood in Hermantown, Minnesota, where she was lovingly raised by her grandparents, Emil and Amanda Nielsen. She graduated from Cathedral High School in Duluth in 1962 and spent much of her professional life working as a legal secretary. Even in retirement, Dianne remained active through her side business, "Let Dianne Do It," always ready to lend a helping hand.
Dianne lived in Minnesota, Florida, and Ohio throughout her life, building lasting friendships wherever she went. Her greatest passions included golf, bridge, reading, baking, and volunteer service. A devoted Catholic, she dedicated countless hours to her church communities, bringing communion to the homebound, serving in adoration, and volunteering wherever needed. She was also active in libraries, community organizations, and the Delano GFWC. Family, friends, neighbors, and even casual acquaintances knew there was a good chance they would leave a visit with Dianne carrying a loaf of her famous banana bread.
Dianne is survived by her daughters, Christine Leone (Bob Anderson), Gala Andreasen (Todd), and Amy Johnson (Gino); her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; extended family; and many dear friends. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith and simple acts of service.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to staff at CaringEdge Hospice and Edgewood Vista for taking such great care of Dianne.
