Diane Garasha

Diane Garasha died Oct. 12, 2022 at New Journey Residence in Eveleth, MN.

She was born June 30, 1944 in Chicago to  Frances & Peter Garasha. She moved to Duluth when she was 10 years old. She graduated from  Central High School & the College of St. Scholastic in Duluth, MN. Diane worked as Executive Director for United Cerebral Palsy & Director for Superior View Apartments Accessible Space incorporated 8 volunteered at Benedictine Living Community.  She is survived by nephew, Allen Cockerham & niece, Joy Papapietro  & many cousins. She is  proceeded in death by her parents and sister Leona Cockeram. 

Diane was a strong advocate for people with  disabilities. She will be missed for her  friendship, stories and contagious laughter. Her  Hedlund family will be planting a tree in loving  memory of her in Roseau, MN next summer.

A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials preferred to Animal Allies.
