Dayton B Bartell

Passed away on May 26, 2026 at the age of 59. He was born in Duluth on March 30, 1967 to parents, Maurice and Gloria. Dayton was a larger than life guy, excelling at karaoke, turning everything into a joke and giving the best hugs. He was also an avid Vikings fan. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Kurt. Survived by wife, Mickey; children, Joe (Greta Nelson) Hage and Adam (Amanda) Hage; sisters, Danielle (Gordon) Johnston, Tierney Bartell (Michael Booth), and Chelsea Bartell; sister-in-law, Rachel Bartell; grandchildren, Joe, Jack, Jace, Holley, and Theo; special friends, Corey Bowman and Julie and Chris Youngren; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. Second Street, Duluth, with a Visitation beginning at 12:00pm.

Immediately following the service, we will be gathering at Bergey’s Bar 2232 W Superior St Duluth for VIP pizza (Dayton’s favorite) and sharing memories.
